Studio Policies
RESERVATION POLICIES:
Please use the scheduling software to book classes and private session. If you have question feel free to call us! Business hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-3pm.
For first time clients seeking to use the reformer or tower systems need to sign up for the Intro to Pilates Series, or take a Private Session to assess skill level, to begin your Pilates journey with Heartwood.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Sessions require a 24 hour cancellation notice. Please cancel on our scheduling software, call, or text to notify me of a cancellation. As a small Pilates studio this 24 hour cancellation policy is essential to our survival. If you do not cancel in advance of that window you will be automatically charged for the class or session.
WAITLIST:
If a class is full, you are welcome to join the waitlist. When a spot becomes available more than 2 hours before class, clients on the waitlist will be added automatically in the order they joined.
Please enable notifications in your scheduling app so you'll know if you've been moved into class. Once you have been added, the cancellation policy applies.
CHECK-IN:
Please leave shoes, coats and any personal belongings at the entrance of the studio. You may bring water into the studio to keep near you during your session. If you have a purchased private session package please sign into your card and fill out the session date in the client box located at the entrance of the studio.
*Please silence your cell phones during all classes and session.
PARKING:
While parking directly outside the studio can get challenging during high traffic times, there is ample neighborhood parking around the corner on NE 28th and NE Schuyler.
MEDICAL CONCERNS:
At Heartwood Pilates I do not treat, cure, or diagnose ailments and medical concerns. I am not a physical therapy center trained medically in the field of PT. Heartwood Pilates is a fitness studio offering movement, exercise, and self care, to help strengthen the body and core through the practice of Pilates as originated by Joseph Pilates and the MELT Method developed bu Sue Hitzmann. Pilates and MELT Method are exercise regimens that can help with injury prevention and do not in any way medically rehabilitate specific past, current, or future injuries as performed in Physical Therapy. If you are experiencing ongoing discomfort/pain or have a recent injury that has not been medically treated, consult a physician before participating in any Pilates/Melt/fitness related activities.
